The Industrial Engineering Technician is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and governance of ERP master data related to manufacturing processes. This includes Bills of Material (BOM), routings, lead times, and production methods. The role ensures data accuracy and consistency across systems to support efficient production planning, scheduling, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Master Data Management
Create and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOM), routings, and lead times in the ERP system.
Ensure alignment of master data with engineering specifications and production capabilities.
Monitor and audit data quality, completeness, and consistency across ERP modules.
Production Method Development
Define and update manufacturing methods and routings based on product design and operational requirements.
Work in collaboration with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, CI, Finance & Engineering teams to optimize process flows and work center assignments.
Maintain standard times and resource usage for each operation step.
Process Improvement & Support
Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
Lead and participate in cross-functional projects related to ERP upgrades, new product introductions, and process changes.
Provide training and support to users involved in data entry and production planning.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with internal data governance policies and external regulatory requirements.
Document procedures and maintain version control for production methods and master data standards
Skills & Competencies:
Diploma or degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in ERP master data management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production processes, BOMs, routings, and lead time calculations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.).
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.
Proficient in both English and French both oral and written. (Intermediate level of English is required).
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficiency in English is required for this role as approximately 40% of the responsibilities involve regular communication with stakeholders based in the United States and Europe.
