About the role
As Banking Operations Manager, you’ll drive the evolution of our document
processing centre — transforming legacy banking workflows into efficient, modern
systems that underpin critical parts of our financial infrastructure. From
producing and verifying financial instruments like cheques and bank drafts to
ensuring regulatory and security compliance, you’ll own the systems, people, and
performance that keep these high-trust processes running smoothly.
You’ll be our first in-office Manager, guiding a small, diverse and
high-performing team. Collaborating across Product, Treasury, Compliance, and
Operations, you will ensure our physical banking services are as fast, secure,
and scalable as our digital ones. Your focus on the client and shipping it will
see you craft beautifully packaged products that wow Canadians toward their
financial freedom!
We’re a remote-first team, but this role requires full-time, in-office presence
Monday through Friday. You’ll be based in our Toronto office and play a key role
in ensuring our banking operations run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This
role will be based on-site at our Toronto HQ at 80 Spadina Avenue, working 8
hours between 8AM to 6PM ET, Monday to Friday.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Build and inspire your team: Manage, coach, and support a specialized crew
that nails critical back-office banking functions with precision and
consistency.
- Reimagine how things get done: Design and implement smart, innovative
tech-enabled workflows that help us serve clients better and faster.
- Lead our digital evolution: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge tools and AI
to eliminate busy work, boost accuracy, and bring our document handling into
the modern era.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Product, Treasury,
and Compliance to solve old-school operational problems with fresh thinking.
- Own our production process: Design and oversee streamlined workflows that
ensure we create banking documents accurately, compliantly, and on time.
- Keep us bulletproof on compliance: Maintain tight oversight of our processes
to meet both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Turn data into action: Use performance and operational metrics to make smart
decisions about staffing, process improvements, and team development.
What you'll bring:
- You have leadership experience in banking or financial services, with a track
record of successfully managing teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- You're passionate about coaching and developing talented team members to
achieve their career goals.
- You bring deep expertise in financial document processing, production,
verification, and controls best practices.
- You've designed, refined, and delivered innovative solutions to complex
operational problems.
- You excel at communication and collaboration, working effectively with
cross-functional teams and external partners.
- You're data-driven — you’ve used data insights to inform process improvements
and smart resource allocation decisions.
