The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

MINE EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
The Mine Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe and reliable operation and basic maintenance of Côté Gold's equipment as assigned. The Operators work collaboratively with the team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule.
We are specifically searching for Operators that are fully qualified on the following equipment / services:

Key Responsibilities
Area 1:
Safe and reliable equipment operation.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety standards.
Clean, lubricate and perform regular safety checks on equipment.
Ensure equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off, or loading and unloading.
Ensure equipment exterior and interior is kept clean and safe.
Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as required.
Area 2:
Operational excellence.
Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
Continually seek to improve your skills as an operator and maintainer.
Watch for inefficiencies or problems.
Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
Embrace the MineStar high precision GPS system on all the equipment to make the Autonomous haulage and Autonomous drilling work more efficiently and effectively.
Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).
Area 3:
Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.
Coordinate with other team members on site to meet shift deliverables.
Mentor and train new team members.
Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
Ensure equipment logs and shift logs are accurate and complete.
Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.
Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves:
Minimum Qualifications, Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Work Experience – Nature & Length
6 months of heavy equipment operation.
Equipment maintenance experience is considered an asset.
Additional Qualifications – Competency Requirements
Valid driver's license.
Clean driving record.
Heavy equipment operator training considered an asset.
