Role:
The analyst is detail-oriented and highly organized. This cross functional role supports both the Supply Chain/Logistics team as well as the Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain and Finance teams with timely and accurate reporting. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and effective communication between departments.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate all weekly pickups for our Co-Pak customers through our carriers. For Co-Pak customers managing their own carriers provide the client with notice of required pickup times
Ensuring NAFTA/CUSMA documentation is completed and up to date
Track aging inventory and notify relevant teams of at-risk or slow-moving SKU’s before expiry
Cross check daily shipping documentation (e.g. BOLs and packing slips) with actual dispatches
Reconciliation of freezer inventory in the plant’s finished goods warehouse by updating daily freezer counts, daily inventory movements based on production inflow and outbound shipments
Ensure daily freezer/cooler/dry storage inventory reports are circulated daily
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies like over/under shipments, handling errors, mislabeling and data input errors in coordination with SYSPRO, warehousing, production, CSR and finance teams
Monitor and optimize inventory movements and stock levels across warehouses to drive efficiency, cost savings and reduce dead stock
Perform ongoing reviews of 3PL and freight vendor invoices to confirm invoice rates, match contracts and rate agreements; any other charges or fees are appropriately applied including duplication checks
Coordinate inbound deliveries of raw materials, ensuring compliance with food safety and traceability standards.
Manage inbound/outbound appointment calendar
Match invoices against shipping or receiving records (BOLs, proof of delivery, purchase orders and receiving documents or warehouse logs
Route reviewed and verified invoices through the designated approval workflow (manager sign-off, plant finance)
Ensure invoice copies, approvals and related shipping documents are archived (digitally or physically) for audit readiness and financial reconciliations
Verify charges are coded to the correct general ledger (e.g. freight-in, storage, distribution)
Support the plant finance team in annual budgeting exercise
Support in finance audits by providing supporting documents and explanations as required
Perform monthly variance analysis of freight, storage and distribution costs to support cost-saving initiatives
Support month end inventory cutoff procedures – review open supply chain transfers (SCT) and goods in transit (GIT), investigate inventory variances resulting from month end counts and stock take capture
Assist in training new hires or internal staff in shipping, invoicing, and inventory reconciliation procedures
Work with QA and Production to ensure shipping and receiving practices meet HACCP and CFIA/USDA compliance
Support QA to track batch numbers and lot codes during inventory movements to maintain full traceability from production to dispatch
Support QA during audits and provide necessary documentation as required
Assist in implementing system improvements that enhance shelf-life visibility, expiry tracking, and FIFO controls
Support customer inquiries on delivery timelines, lot traceability, or COAs (Certificates of Analysis)
Liaise with Production on rework or reallocation of product due to QA holds or customer specification changes
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
2 – 3 years' experience in a similar role
Experience with logistics coordination, freight, or supply chain support is preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Syspro is considered an asset
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization/reporting tools is an asset
Exposure to customs documentation, HS codes, or international shipping regulations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong documentation and recordkeeping habits to support audit readiness
Proficiency with numbers and verifying financial data
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Solid communication and teamwork skills
Strong knowledge of MS Excel would be considered an asset
Experience with cost optimization and efficiency improvement activities
