RVA is seeking a dedicated Site Representative in Toronto to oversee the electrical aspects of our projects in a dynamic contractual role.
Duties:
Supervise and monitor day-to-day on-site electrical subcontractor operations and field labor, including assistants, foremen, and subcontractors
Provide technical assistance, such as interpreting electrical drawings and recommending construction methods or equipment as required
Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
Prepare and submit daily reports documenting site conditions, manpower, progress, and any incidents or issues affecting the project
Coordinate with internal and external clients, including the owner’s representatives, architects, and engineers, to address project requirements and resolve technical issues
Assist in training and supporting field superintendents and engineers on electrical systems and safety procedures
Conduct regular inspections for quality control, ensuring installations and repairs meet industry standards and project specifications
Maintain accurate documentation, including blueprints, inspection reports, and maintenance logs
Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination meetings as required
Support the implementation of safety procedures and conduct regular site safety inspections
May be required to inspect site services works such as linear infrastructure installation and connections (WM, STM and SANI pipe) and be familiar with civil concrete, grading and site survey verification.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or construction management is preferred but not always required; significant site experience may substitute
8–10 years of experience in electrical construction, preferably in industrial or commercial projects
Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in field conditions, including standing for long periods and working around equipment and systems
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, Journeyman or Master Electrician license) may be required or preferred
Proficiency in report writing and use of standard office software for documentation
