Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 310J Trailer Mechanic to be an integral member of our Fleet Maintenance team. You will play a key role in keeping our trucks and trailers operating safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical ability, effective communication with drivers, and a commitment to high-quality repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair issues based on driver and owner/operator reports
Perform preventative maintenance, including brake systems, steering/suspension, electrical diagnostics, and more
Conduct initial inspections using test drives and diagnostic instruments
Ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and cost-effectively
Maintain accurate repair documentation and work orders
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure fleet safety
Utilize and store shop tools properly, maintaining a clean and safe workspace
Assist in creating and following preventative maintenance schedules
Provide respectful and professional communication with drivers and team members
What You Bring
Valid 310J certification (Required)
Experience working with transport trucks and trailers (Required)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic in the transportation industry
Valid G driver’s license (A or D license considered an asset)
Strong mechanical abilities in gas and diesel automotive repairs
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and proficiency with work order software
Flexible schedule, with availability for different shifts
