We are currently searching for a full-time Procurement Coordinator for a 12-month contract to join our team. The Procurement Coordinator will support the daily procurement operations across PavCo, including BC Place Stadium, the Vancouver Convention Centre, and Shared Services. This position is responsible for creating purchase orders, obtaining vendor quotes, and providing administrative support throughout various procurement processes (RFX).
In addition, the coordinator conducts market research, assists in the preparation of procurement reports, and analyzes market trends to inform purchasing decisions. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, contributing to the smooth operation of all departments across the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Follows established procurement practices and procedures to acquire goods and services in a timely fashion.
Provide administrative and coordination support across all procurement processes— including RFQs, RFIs, NOIs, and contract renewals—by assisting with documentation, postings on BC Bid, tracking, and internal and external communications.
Review purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in support of day-to-day procurement operations.
Work with the business departments to obtain quotes from suppliers to ensure compliance with procurement policy and trade agreements.
Perform routine expediting with suppliers and communicates delivery and schedule updates to internal customers.
Maintains complete and accurate file records in our ERP system, MOMENTUS
Responsible for the timely updating of the departmental contract and procurement tracker.
Update the departmental contract and procurement tracker timely.
Monitor Procurement dashboard in ERP system including REQ volume, Purchase Requisition to PO cycle time.
Analyze procurement data using MOMENTUS ERP and Excel.
Conduct market, supplier and product research and other duties as assigned.
Participate in Asset Counts and Inventory Management to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available to support the operations and event teams.
Work with business departments and the Accounts Payable team to resolve invoicing issues.
Maintain and update PO Operation tracker by adding the corresponding data.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business or Supply Chain.
Minimum 2 years of related procurement experience. Public procurement experience preferred.
Certified procurement professional such as Supply Management Training (SMT) Program, Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or equivalent is preferred.
Knowledge of ERP systems is required.
Proficient in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau is preferred.
Exceptional communication skills, clearly expressing ideas, thoughts and concepts verbally and in writing. Ability to speak clearly and distinctly in a professional, friendly and effective manner.
A team player committed to collaborating positively with others towards common goals and taking responsibility for their work.
Ability to anticipate challenges and problems before they arise and competence to find the best solution for issues.
The salary range for this position is $51,393 - $64,241. Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
