Job Description What is the opportunity? Reporting to the team leader of GRMI (Group Risk Management – Insurance), the incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end management of portfolio valuation and analysis for RBC Insurance's insurance products, with an emphasis on Traditional and Universal Life Products. What will you do? You will support and enhance annual experience study, gather and analyze study data using R, interpret emerging results using Tableau, and propose new assumptions for valuation and actionable items for the business. Comply with SoX controls and EUC requirements You will support and enhance IFRS17 actuarial financial reporting including but not limited to: Month-end/Quarter-end process, AA Report, and income forecast. In addition, provide the business with implications of emerging financial results and related metrics, particularly earning by sources (EBS), mortality, morbidity, lapse, capital impact, etc. You will work closely with the business and other functional partners on strategic projects and tactical actions, and assist these areas in achieving their goals. You will support risk governance and oversight, support annual update of risk appetite and delegated authority, and ensure top and emerging risks remain within risk appetite through frequent monitoring. You will support regulatory changes, projects, adhoc requests which may arise What will you need to succeed? Must-Have Bachelor’s degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science or Statistics with a minimum of 3 SOA exams Working experience with GGY AXIS, SQL, R languages and Tableau• Actuarial / insurance experience with demonstrated knowledge of professional standards of practice, the legislative environment and industry best-practices Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be an innovative thinker and understand the "big picture" High energy, results-oriented self-starter with the ability to achieve under tight deadlines in a rewarding and fast-paced environment Nice-to-Have: Working experience with Python Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant actuarial experience Experience with deep-dive analytics, predictive modelling or artificial intelligence. Familiar with data mining, statistical modeling, and machine learning Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audience What's in it for you?
