We are opening the doors to a state-of-the-art treatment hub designed to provide comprehensive support and resources that address the root causes of homelessness and addiction. We are currently seeking Casual Registered Nurses who will be responsible for working closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, holistic, and patient-centered care. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage patient needs across a variety of health conditions
One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services. The position has a competitive salary and an option to join the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Nursing Degree from a recognized university.
Current license to practice from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Thorough knowledge and proficiency in current nursing procedures, nursing assessment, physical assessments and treatment measures.
Experience in a community-based primary health care setting, addictions, homelessness, and/or mental health is an asset.
Strong understanding and alignment with the concepts of trauma-informed care and culturally safer care.
Ability to navigate complex case management situations, advocate for clients effectively, and create individualized care plans.
