Our Service is seeking applicants for our Records Branch that have positive attitudes, are self-starters and team players for the above position. Come join our team in the role of full-time and part-time Records Clerk.
Level 5A: $58,950 through to $78,600 (2025 Salary Range)
Hours of work: Full-time, working 40 hours per week, rotating 12-hour shifts (Days, Nights), 365 day/year operation, including weekends and statutory holidays. Part-time, working a minimum 24 hours per week to a maximum of 39 hours per week.
Records Clerks perform these key responsibilities:
Complete document management processing for paper and electronic records, including filing, scanning and searching.
Maintain Records Management System and other information systems as required.
Provide receptionist duties for visitors attending or calling the service, identifying their concerns and advising of the appropriate contacts and procedures to be followed.
Provide superior customer service to internal and external members (in-person, phone and e-mail).
Process Police Records Checks
Receive requests under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA)
Receive requests for records on accidents and occurrences to the courts, insurance companies, law firms and other agencies.
Process documents for court, provide court disclosure and ensure that court dispositions are accurately recorded.
Successful candidates require experience, knowledge, and skill in the areas of:
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Windows-based operating systems and computerized records management/database software experience.
Proficiency in data entry in a computerized environment is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Good organization and planning skills due to fast paced work demands
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Able to solve problems using policies, procedures and legislation to ensure accurate information is captured
Provide customer service in a professional and respectful manner via in-person, telephone or e-mail
