(TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Sport Partnership specialist to join our Toyota Brand Marketing department. This is a 12-month Contract/Acting opportunity and will report to the Manager, Toyota Brand. The selected candidate will oversee relationships with all Toyota Sport Partnerships (incl. Norther Super League – League and 6 Clubs – and the Vancouver Canucks). This role will also work with internal and agency stakeholders to build/roll out Partnership Strategies, and actualize assets negotiated within partnerships. What We’ll Bring: Company & Culture A hybrid work environment A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility and respect Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career A focus on respect for people and continuous improvement Summer Hours – condensed work week during the summer Benefits Competitive compensation package Extended health care and dental benefits effective immediately Associate vehicle discount program Paid holiday shutdown and competitive paid time off benefits What You’ll be Doing: Build strategy for TCI sports partnerships that connect the Toyota brand to new audiences in Canada and build favorability amongst future consumers Build and report TCI sports-related annual partnerships KPI development in line with departmental goals and brand objectives/KPIs Facilitate integration and optimization of sports related partnerships across Toyota with a focus on utilizing modern engagement approaches (Data / Email) Oversee day-to-day relationships with TCI’s sport partnership properties (currently Northern Super League and Vancouver Canucks), sponsored athletes partnerships (if applicable) including reporting, program optimization, budget management, implementation and building relationships/future programs with agency and sports partners Preside over content and activations for sports partnerships, working with agencies and other stakeholders Spearhead Northern Super League (NSL) Taskforce in collaboration with agency partners and other internal stakeholders, including Sales Division, Zones, Parts & Service, Accessories, Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Toyota Financial Services, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Evaluate and advise strategic recommendations for all sports-related partnerships What You’ll Bring: University/College degree in Marketing, Business or Sport Management, or related discipline Minimum of 5 years in Marketing or Sport Management – agency, property and/or customer side with a strong fundamental grounding in customer engagement through experience A proven track record guiding progressive partnership management and optimization Strong organization and time management – Able to work with multiple partners and on multiple projects on a regular basis Impactful and influential - Able to motivate and inspire internal and external teams as required Knowledge of negotiation – Able to assist in negotiations with suppliers and partners (new and existing) Excellent communication both verbal and written for daily work with partners and agencies Aptitude for making insightful recommendations based on gathered data Expertise in creating presentations and public-speaking Not mandatory, but having a passion for sports and interest in keeping up-to-date with sponsorship industry trends, news and best practices About Us Toyota Canada Inc. is the exclusive Canadian distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
