Job Summary As a key member of the product development team, the Vice President, Health Product Innovation will lead the creation and launch of market-leading proprietary health and simplified issue life insurance products. You’ll collaborate with insurance carriers, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders to bring new product concepts to life – from idea to execution. The role blends strategic insight, creativity, and technical expertise to shape solutions that address market gaps and exceed expectations of agents and consumers alike. Job Description Key Responsibilities Carrier Engagement: Lead strategic discussions with carrier partners to uncover product development or enhancement opportunities. Sales Alignment: Collaborate with top sales leaders to ensure product features and positioning meet the evolving needs of the field. Market Intelligence: Serve as the in-house expert on market conditions, competitive products, and emerging trends across Medicare supplement, Critical Illness, Final Expense, Term Life and other complementary health or simplified issue life products. Pricing Strategy: Partner with carriers and consulting actuaries to pricing products, build financial models, and assess key actuarial assumptions. Product Design Leadership: Own the end-to-end product design process including ideation, design, competitive analysis, sales positioning target customer profiling, and agent experience. Field-Driven Iteration: Incorporate field feedback to refine product designs and improve market competitiveness. Innovation Monitoring: Identify and assess innovative market trends and emerging opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field. FSA preferred. 7+ years of insurance experience with a focus on one or more of the following products: Medicare supplement, Critical Illness, Final Expense, Term Life, Dental, Vision and Hearing Strong background in product development, pricing, and competitive analysis.
