Are you a creative wordsmith with a love for fashion and culture, and an expertise in writing content? SSENSE is looking for a French Content Writer to create dynamic, engaging copy that captivates our audience and drives conversions!
The French Content Writer is a versatile and reactive copywriter responsible for creating engaging copy for our marketing channels, including newsletters, push notifications, and social media. Working closely with our content teams, you will ensure our brand’s Tone of Voice (TOV) is cohesive and impactful, translating, adapting, and writing texts that meet business objectives while staying true to the SSENSE identity.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Adaptation: Translate, adapt, or write French copy for marketing channels (social media, newsletters, ads) to make it engaging, relevant, and aligned with brand objectives.
Brand Tone of Voice: Apply a dynamic and culturally relevant SSENSE TOV that meets marketing goals without being off-brand, overly salesy, or “cringe.”
Cultural Integration & Trend Spotting: Stay attuned to local trends, internet culture, and viral conversations to create content that effectively positions SSENSE within the online cultural dialogue.
Agile Coordination: Collaborate efficiently with marketing and content teams to ensure copy reflects the intended message, and react with agility to accommodate last-minute changes and meet tight deadlines.
Performance-Driven Writing: Utilize performance data and A/B testing to continuously refine word choices and phrases, with a focus on improving engagement, traffic, and conversion.
Project Management: Use project management tools like Monday.com and other software to ensure workflow efficiency and clear communication with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in French Literature, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
Minimum of two years of professional writing experience in a marketing context, such as for a publication, agency, or social media account.
Mastery of French grammar, spelling, and usage, along with professional proficiency in English.
A strong grasp of fashion, pop culture, contemporary art, and design, with a demonstrated ability to synthesize these ideas into effective communication.
A strong and swift writer who can quickly adapt to different writing styles and turn around fast edits with a keen eye for detail.
Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven ability to multitask, manage project priorities, and meet deadlines.
