About the Role
The Product Lead is a visionary strategist and hands-on driver of innovation, responsible for shaping products that advance SFU's institutional goals and unlock new growth opportunities. This dynamic role leads end-to-end product development—from market research and opportunity analysis to pricing strategy and continuous iteration—ensuring each product delivers measurable value and revenue impact. As a key contributor to SFU's evolving portfolio, the Product Lead will spearhead initiatives that respond to emerging market trends and global demand. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders, they will champion user-centric solutions that resonate both locally and internationally. Qualifications
Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field, with a minimum five years of related experience in leading cross-functional product development teams, preferably within a higher education or complex public-sector context, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Ability to lead in consultative decision-making and to achieve consensus among stakeholders representing diverse and conflicting interests.
Proven ability to independently conduct market research, competitive analysis, and develop effective pricing strategies.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.
Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and collaborators, working effectively at all levels and across teams both internal and external to the organization.
Ability to analyze product performance metrics to guide continuous improvement.

Additional Information
The assignment end date is 24 months from start date.
The pay range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for the position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
