Position Summary Join the Surrey Anvil Way team, where you'll will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, fabricating, maintaining, installing, and repairing various equipment and systems in the plant. We are looking for an individual who is safety-conscious, adaptable, and has a strong mechanical aptitude. The preferred candidate has the knowledge and expertise to work both independently and within a team. This is a full-time hourly role, with 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Key Accountabilities Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, conveyors, and motors with minimal supervision. Perform metal fabrication and pipe fitting, including welding and oxy-fuel cutting. Conduct preventative maintenance (PM), basic repairs, and diagnostics on wheeled and tracked site equipment. Maintain and inspect process equipment, including welding and fabrication tools, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Perform routine equipment checks: oiling, greasing, vibration analysis, and inspections. Support general site maintenance: painting, pressure washing, insulating, cleaning, tarping, and winterizing. Operate and rig forklifts, boom lifts, and scissors lifts safely and competently. Complete Job Hazard Risk Assessments (JHAs) and ensure all tasks follow safety procedures. Promote a strong safety culture across all teams and activities. Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance, including action plans and follow-up. Perform routine maintenance activities independently. Keep maintenance inventory up to date. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform other site-related tasks and duties as required. Requirements Journeyman Millwright. Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a fairly clean Commercial Drivers Abstract. Metal fabrication experience is an asset. Must be able to perform labor-intensive duties, capable of heavy lifting (up to 40 kg). Able to supply your own set of hand tools to perform basic repairs would be an asset. Travel Requirements: from time to time Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Must be safety conscious and dependable. Mechanical aptitude required.
