Position Summary: The Associate Agency Representative will assist the Agency
Manager in establishing and implementing short and long-range objectives for the
Agency, oversee related functions and activities, and administer company
policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily.
· Works and supports Agency Manager and Regional Manager to set the specific
target goals for their areas. Work with individual Agency Manager to develop
plans and specific sales strategies.
· Coordinates sales effort by liaising with the Agency Manager and Regional
Manager to establish sales territories and goals utilizing sales plan and
directives.
· Travels throughout assigned territories and builds business and develops
effective customer relationships with Agents, with an emphasis on improving
selling skills and identifying customer and Agent target list.
· Analyzes sales statistics to establish priorities, manage performance, and
assist sales teams in promoting Alliant National.
· Works with Agency Manager and Regional Manager to review marketing and
competitive analysis to determine Agent needs, volume potential, pricing and to
develop marketing campaigns to accommodate goals for the region.
· Monitors departmental performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities
to increase productivity and efficiency.
· Manages day-to-day aspects of the department and its personnel to ensure
projects are completed and goals and customer needs are met.
· Collaborates with other managers to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and
projects.
· Collaborates with other managers to analyze costs, benefits, and losses of
company profits.
· Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports.
· Manages inventory, approving or facilitating purchases as needed; negotiates
related pricing contracts and verifies costs and receipts.
· Manages conflicts and resolves complaints about or within the department.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or six
months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental
documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers,
customers and the public.
Reasoning Ability:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

The position is remote. Extensive travel is required. Must be able to travel
extensively by car or air as needed. Occasional extended workdays are required,
some of the travel and customer entertainment will be evenings and weekends.
