JOB TITLE: Project Engineer
LOCATION: CROSSFIELD, ALBERTA
JOB SUMMARY
To provide technical assistance regarding application, specification and design
of Plasti-Fab products for internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of product regulatory listings via test and
validation.
- Critical technical problem-solving leading to technical decisions
- Active participation on the product development team.
- Support product development and technical support services
- Provide technical support and expertise to external and internal customers.
- Support sales team in pre-sales technical concept and budgeting activities.
- Interpret requirements; research options and develop specifications to ensure
product regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain documentation and standards.
- Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of project
team..
- Assist with development of product evaluation scope and objectives.
- Meet all safety requirements and regulations
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) where advised
- Develop a flexible approach to a team environment
- Follow company policies and procedures
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science with Mechanical Engineering Degree (or similar related
degree)
- 3-5 years related job experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Critical thinking with exceptional problem solving and multi-tasking skills
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills;
- Presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate
technical and organization information, high degree of initiative.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office working environment with factory and warehouse Exposure to noise
levels may be high at times.
- Exposure to materials used in the manufacture of polyisocyanurate products
including polyols, MDI, facers of various types, various additives, plastics,
cardboard packaging, wood, etc.
