About the Role
Mint Health + Drugs seeks a Pharmacy Assistant (Student) to join our dynamic and growing team.
This position is funded in part through student grant programs designed to support technology-immersive, work-integrated learning experiences.
- Successful candidates must complete a related grant application as part of the onboarding process.
- Existing Mint Health + Drugs employees or current students working with us are not eligible due to program funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Technology & Automation
Operate and maintain automated compliance packaging equipment for prescription fulfillment.
Assist in calibration, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for pharmacy automation devices.
Use eMAR systems to ensure accurate and timely medication administration documentation.
Support data entry, analysis, and reporting in Kroll Pharmacy Management Software and related digital tools.
Collaborate in tech-enabled workflows to improve prescription accuracy, reduce errors, and optimize efficiency.
Dispensing & Patient Care
Accept and process new prescriptions and refill requests.
Create and maintain secure, computerized patient records.
Prepare and label medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Support pharmacists in identifying patient health needs and ensuring safe medication use.
Customer Service
Greet and assist patients with professionalism and empathy.
Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and team members through multiple channels.
Maintain confidentiality and protect patient health information in accordance with privacy legislation.
Inventory Management
Monitor and manage stock levels using digital inventory tracking systems.
Receive, verify, and log incoming medication and supply orders.
Perform routine inventory audits and expiry date checks.
Education & Qualifications
Grant Program Requirements - include but are not limited to:
Candidate must be a student enrolled in a post-secondary program (does not need to be pharmacy-related)
Position provides direct hands-on experience with healthcare technology, including automated compliance packaging machines, eMAR systems, pharmacy management software, and other digital health platforms.
Existing Mint Health + Drugs employees or current students working with us are not eligible due to funding program rules.
