Lead Two Market Giants. One Vision. Global Impact.
TRADER Corporation, home to AutoTrader.ca [http://AutoTrader.ca], the largest
and most trusted automotive marketplace in Canada, is seeking a seasoned and
visionary Vice President of Global Consumer Marketing. This is a unique
opportunity to own the entire consumer marketing function for a top-tier
Canadian brand and lead the global brand direction for AutoScout24, the leading
pan-European digital automotive platform and TRADER's parent company.
This role calls for a high-impact leader with deep expertise in consumer
marketing, brand strategy, and performance-driven execution across multiple
geographies. You'll have full ownership of a powerful national brand — while
helping shape the future of a continental one.
Your Challenge
As VP of Global Consumer Marketing, you will be tasked with scaling two leading
automotive brands: AutoTrader.ca [http://AutoTrader.ca] in Canada
and AutoScout24 across Europe. You’ll drive growth, engagement, and brand equity
by developing and executing strategies that resonate with millions of car
shoppers and deliver value to our dealer and OEM partners.
Your role will include:
-
Owning and executing AutoTrader.ca [http://AutoTrader.ca]’s full consumer
marketing strategy — from top-of-funnel awareness to lead generation and
retention — all aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
-
Acting as global brand lead for the entire group (autotrader.ca
[http://autotrader.ca] and AutoScout24), defining a unified international brand
strategy and overseeing scalable frameworks that can be executed across both
Canada and diverse European markets.
-
Building and managing an integrated marketing ecosystem, spanning paid media,
creative production, SEO/content, lifecycle marketing, social, PR, and consumer
insights.
-
Leading a large, cross-functional team and managing a marketing budget of
$10M+, working with internal resources and agency partners to drive results
across channels.
-
Collaborating closely with senior leadership, product, and sales teams to
ensure marketing is embedded as a strategic driver of company-wide success.
Success in this role will be measured by:
-
Brand performance: Increases in awareness, consideration, and preference
across Canadian and European markets.
-
User growth and engagement: Increased traffic, VDPs (Vehicle Detail Page
views), leads, and conversions.
-
Competitive advantage: Gains in market share, brand sentiment, and
top-of-funnel reach.
-
Operational excellence: High team engagement, cross-functional alignment, and
clear contribution to TRADER and AutoScout24’s broader business goals.
This role offers the chance to shape how car buyers and sellers connect — at
both a national and international level.
