Reporting to the Vice-President, Administration and Finance, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing Langara’s digital, data, and technology strategy in alignment with institutional goals. As both a strategic advisor and operational leader, the CIO ensures that information and technology services enable academic excellence, administrative efficiency, and an exceptional student experience. The CIO provides leadership for the planning, governance, and evolution of Langara’s digital ecosystem—including enterprise systems, data platforms, and technology infrastructure. With oversight of major initiatives and emerging technologies, the CIO drives service delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement in support of the College’s mission and long-term sustainability. In partnership with executive leadership, faculty, staff, and students, the CIO champions technology as a key enabler of institutional success—enhancing user experience, delivering value, and building digital capacity. In addition to leading the IT function, the CIO plays a key role in modernizing service delivery and governance models, advancing enterprise integration, and strengthening cyber resilience. They are responsible for elevating the strategic value of IT while building capacity, fostering a sustainable technology workforce, and enabling innovation in a complex, evolving environment. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, enterprise-minded technology executive who brings a demonstrated ability to align digital strategy with organizational values and long-term goals.
