As a Senior Technician - Security; with Paladin Technologies, you will
collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation
blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete
installations.
This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the
installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making
adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations
to client satisfaction.

job sites throughout the region.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Install, program, configure security systems and commissioning, including
CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, fence detection
system, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued
functionality and reliability of security systems. Troubleshoot and resolve
technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, provide expert
guidance, and offer solutions tailored to their requirements. Ensure
exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and
professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records (documentation) of system installations,
maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepares, create and executes detailed
reports and acceptance test plans to meet SLA's, contract for clients and
internal use.
- Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize
their effectiveness and ease of use.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in security technology, regulations, and
industry best practices. Continuously improve your technical skills through
training and certifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security
systems installation and maintenance.
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers,
completing and filing all project documentation.
- You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled
hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work.
- Utilizing expertise and experience to serve as a mentor to colleagues,
offering guidance in testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing equipment for peak
operational efficiency.
- Support, lead, and mentor team members.
- Design systems and layout .
- Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
- Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as
necessary.
- Other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 plus years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security
industry.
- Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or
low-voltage industry(s).
- Programming experience (essential for senior positions).
- Ability to work 50% to 70% night shift.
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level.
- Valid TQ certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, MILESTONE,
AVIGILON, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, and others).
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent (considered an asset).

is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type

abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be
required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally
lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over
1.8m (6 feet).

work may be required.
Pay Range: $36.93 ph - $52.25 ph DOE
