Director Finance, Andromeda Division (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite in Markham, Ontario) Description: The Director of Finance for the Andromeda Division is responsible for the oversight and audit of financial results across all division businesses. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate reporting requirements, the ability to identify financial process challenges, and the skill to provide clear, actionable feedback leading to necessary adjustments. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of driving accountability across all levels. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks. Budgeting & Forecasting: Create and manage budgets, and accurately forecast future financial performance. Financial Operations: Oversee accounting and audit functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage finance staff, fostering a high-performing team. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. Accountability: Drive accountability across the division, including holding peers and colleagues responsible for financial performance and compliance. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required). Master's degree and/or CPA certification (preferred). Minimum 5+ years of senior-level finance experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business software. Expertise in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation abilities. Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively. Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership skills and business acumen. Ability to align stakeholders through clear and consistent communication. Ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities, and develop strategic long-term plans. Ability to make timely, effective decisions based on sound judgment and analysis. Ability to hold direct reports, peers, and colleagues accountable for their responsibilities.
