Job Description Department: Maintenance Position Required: Receiver Status: Casual Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm Date Required: ASAP Salary: According to the CUPE Local 2553 Collective Agreement Qualifications: Should be physically fit and trustworthy. Minimum Grade 12 education. Job related experience required. Should indicate the ability to learn inventory control system. Must be able to read and write English. Duties and Responsibilities: Receives deliveries, inspects and checks package slips and goods received against Purchase Orders. Notes and follows up on any discrepancies. Forward receiving papers to the Accounting Department. Prepare a receiving report for all deliveries and forward to the Accounting Department at the end of the day. Responsible for stocking the shelves and updating perpetual inventory cards. Responsible for the monthly physical inventory count and submit a copy of the appropriate departments. Distribute supplies (Food, dietary, housekeeping, nursing, etc.) as requisitioned for by the various departments. Advise Department Head when inventory of supplies has reached a pre-set minimum. Responsible for storage of kitchen supplies in appropriate location (i.e. fridge, freezer). Performs other related duties as required.
