Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a family located in Whitby. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence. This position is full-time, live-out. Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm with some flexibility to travel when needed.
Candidate Profile:
You are a professional and motivated housekeeper with excellent housekeeping and laundry skills who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You communicate well and are comfortable working independently. You understand a home is a living environment, not just a workplace, and can easily adjust your daily schedule to accommodate activities in the residence. Our client is looking for someone who wants to invest in a stable, long-term, permanent career.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Daily housekeeping to include, but not limited to, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and staff area maintenance (basement office)
? Regular laundry of linens and bedding and occasional ironing
? Trash and recycling management – sort and dispose of recycling, compost, and garbage correctly
? Weekly clean of the patio furniture during the summer months and outdoor sweeping of entrance areas
? Ensure household security protocols are followed
? Answering the door, receive packages
? Run errands occasionally as needed
? Preparation of foods for Executive Chef (cutting vegetables, assisting with clean up, etc.) and minimal light cooking
? This position reports to the Chief of Staff and household special projects will be assigned as needed
Applicant Qualities:
? Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation
? Detail oriented
? Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds
? Must be comfortable with dogs
? Full Ontario driver’s license and a vehicle is required
? Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
? Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always, exercising diplomacy, discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
? Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
