Position Title: myFlex Benefits Specialist
Reports To: Manager, Group Administration
Department: Group Claims and Admin Management
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

We’re looking for a myFlex Benefits Specialist to provide excellent customer service to both external customers and internal partners. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge to support the set-up of new business and existing business while providing guidance and support to the rest of the team.

What you will be doing:
??Provide excellent client service to both external clients (Advisors, Plan Administrators, Plan Members) and internal partners (head office and regional staff) by answering inquiries via phone and email
Update and validate plan member and plan sponsor information
Assist plan members and plan sponsors with account activations
Administer pay direct drug cards including problem solving utilizing provider's software
Terminate and reinstate plan members, divisions and group contracts
Provide support to other applicable Group departments by assessing and confirming member eligibility
Request medical evidence of insurability when necessary
Interpret system audit reports and take corrective action when required
Provide pro-active, high touch service to Plan Administrators at initial enrollment while also functioning as the main day to day Admin contact for any subsequent service needs, including resolution of escalated issues
Prepare customized plan member educational material based on the flex plan options that will be available for each group
Provide back-up to Group Benefits Administration as needed in the administration of regular groups
What you will bring:
??3+ years of group benefits experience defined as a comprehensive understanding of group insurance and the ability to learn new processes is preferred
Excellent communication skills, including effective listening and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Superior attention to detail and ability to sustain this level of detail throughout the duration of 3–4-hour tasks
Ability to work collaboratively with peers, Account Executives, and other head office operational teams as part of a centralized service model
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, utilizing research skills
Must be able to interpret and apply contract provisions and administrative guidelines
Ability to handle high volume of work on a team with interdependencies
Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills are a must
Aptitude for service
Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Bilingual skills (French/English) are an asset
