About the role:
Reporting to the Lead, Infrastructure Security, the Technical Security Analyst
is responsible for operational and project activities that ensure we create and
use quality data to assess our security risks at EVR. This role supports a wide
group of stakeholders by enabling access to actionable security data and helping
translate insights into improvements across the environment.
This position requires working independently, meeting tight deadlines, and
collaborating across teams including cyber security operations, cloud
infrastructure, server systems, development, and user services.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal
communication skills (including technical writing and presentation skills),
strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage
multiple priorities independently and meet project deadlines.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Develop, mature, and maintain our Vulnerability Response (VR) and Incident
Response (IR) programs
- Work with Security Operations to configure, support, and optimize our
Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions
- Collaborate with our Cyber Defence Center to investigate and respond to
security alerts and incidents
- Work with the ServiceNow team to develop and maintain workflows,
configurations, and reporting within the Security Operations module
- Support security operations and projects by developing a deep understanding
of data sources used in security and risk decision-making
- Manipulate and present data to a range of technical and business
stakeholders
- Define success metrics for each security initiative and coordinate associated
change management needs
- Produce supporting documentation such as support guides, knowledge base
articles, and policies
- Train users to effectively access and utilize security data
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Experience working with ServiceNow, particularly in workflow development,
configuration, and the Security Operations module
- Experience with cyber security operational functions, especially
vulnerability response and incident response
- Experience with Windows forensics and configuring and using Endpoint
Detection and Response (EDR) tools
- Experience with Windows server and workstation infrastructure and
configuration
- Exposure to Azure or other cloud environments
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI and Excel for reporting and data
analysis
- Skilled at presenting data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficient in core information security concepts and technologies
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
- Exposure to Windows patching via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
(MECM) is an asset
- Familiarity with IAM (Identity and Access Management) practices is an asset

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s
relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
