Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Clerk to join our team at Pharmasave Spears & MacLeod in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities:
Receive, organize, and distribute patient medications, including tracking pickups and reordering for chronic conditions
Record and manage patient information, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with the Pharmacy Manager, Store Operator, and Nurse in Charge
Package and return expired medications to the pharmacy as needed
Act as a communication link between patients and the pharmacy team, referring medical or healthcare inquiries as appropriate
Handle phone calls and follow up with patients regarding medication pickup; perform minor cash handling for medication payments
Collaborate with nursing staff on medication-related matters and maintain professional relationships with clinic personnel
Keep depot areas clean, organized, and up to professional standards
Support the Nurse in Charge and Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager with additional tasks as required
Qualifications:
Experience in receiving, shipping, and inventory control is an asset
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Professional attitude with strong communication skills for interacting with patients, clinic, and nursing staff
Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor
Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting
Criminal Record Check required due to the sensitive nature of the position
