establish a leading network system. This lab fosters personal and professional

About the job:

Conduct cutting edge research within networking domain for large scale
distributed systems or clusters in Data Centers in the cloud or on prem
-
Produce DCN related surveys and insights regarding technical dynamics and
trends of both industry and academia

Assist in defining research thrusts for internal projects as well as
potential cooperation with academia

Lead certain research directions and propose technical solutions to assigned
research thrusts

Deliver committed results to meet the project goals
About the ideal candidate:
-
Ph.D. degree in Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering or any related fields
-
Any research or industry experience is highly preferred in one or more of the
following fields:
-
Network traffic control such as congestion control, load balancing,
scheduling
-
Network architecture related research such as topology, routing and flow
control
-
Network Transportation Protocol design or optimization such as RoCE, etc
-
Network function offloading to Network Interface Card (NIC) or to Network
-
Large Network simulation for data plane or control plane algorithm
performance optimization such as throughput, latency or jitter
-
Excellent Python/C/C++ programming skills as well as experience using network
simulation tools such as NS3 and other similar tools
-
In-depth understanding on how IP/Ethernet network works including both
control plane and data plane
-
Knowledge of AI/ML/LLM in general; in particular knowledge of popular LLMs
such as OpenAI, LLaMa, DeepSeek, etc. Understanding how these models work,
their communication patterns and characteristics is an asset

Experience working with Network Interface Card (NIC)/DPU is an asset
-
Proof of successful project delivery history

Strong soft skills like curiosity, ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast
changing research dynamics, excellent communication and presentation skills
