The Food Service Worker 2 is responsible to the Executive Chef and will assist in all areas of the kitchen for maximum service to patrons.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with all aspects of food preparation, display food in an attractive and appetizing manner, and clean in the kitchen area.
Provide excellent customer service to student, staff and public clients, in a professional and friendly manner at all times.
Ensure that sanitation standards as outlined by Alberta Health Services are maintained and a safe work environment is adhered to.
To perform other related duties as directed by the Executive Chef or Pastry Chef.
Read and follow prep lists and adhere to the cleaning schedules.
Assist the Pastry Chef with all pastry production.
QUALIFICATIONS
Thorough knowledge of food handling and storage techniques.
Excellent work habits, personal hygiene and professional appearance.
Good public and staff relations.
Must be willing to obtain or possess Alberta Health Services or equivalent Food Safety certification

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will primarily be working mornings and early afternoons Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be scheduled for 7.5 - 24 hours per week based on business levels. Opportunities for shifts on other days of the week may be available for special event bookings.
