GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES
Oversee the Production Department
Use Lean / Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to:
reduce expenses in labour, material and overhead
support and further enhance 5s program / general housekeeping practices
Foster a positive team environment with other members of the Management Team to ensure coordinated efforts are being pursued to achieve the goals and objectives for plant performance
Complete workplace inspections and process audits as required and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Verify all necessary documentation is completed as required
Verify cross training is evident amongst staff as well as hourly unionized workforce.
Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required.
All other duties as assigned by management
QUALITY RESPONSIBLITIES
Maintain quality standards on all products
Responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet or exceed all quality expectations for the product.
Exercise compliance with Quality Management Systems when implementing and performing all company procedures
Ensure all personnel/operators are trained in products and control part quality.
Ensure a process of continuous quality improvement is evident.
Ensure customer quality concerns are promptly addressed and corrective actions initiated
