An exciting opportunity as a Digital EPR Training Coordinator exists in the Clinical Applications department, reporting to the Manager, Clinical Applications.
Job Description
Clinic/Patient Flow:
Leverage experience to inform workflow design and electronic patient record (EPR) implementation across WCH.
Promote standardization and optimization of clinical workflows that align with best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in current workflows and propose technology-enabled solutions to streamline patient flow and improve provider experience.
Participate in process mapping exercises and lead workflow validation sessions with frontline staff and clinical leaders.
Track adoption metrics and user feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented workflow changes.
Epic Project Support:
Perform Epic build configuration for assigned modules, including workflows, templates, flowsheets, and smart tools.
Maintain thorough documentation of build activities, configuration decisions, and change management processes.
Troubleshoot issues with system builds and coordinate with WCH ClinApps analysts and Epic technical support to resolve defects or conflicts.
Analyze current system functionality to identify opportunities for optimization or standardization across departments.
Prepare materials for Change Advisory Board (CAB) as required.
Knowledge Translation and Training:
Deliver training strategies tailored to different user groups, including providers, nurses, administrative staff, and allied health professionals.
Create and manage a repository of training materials, ensuring version control and alignment with current system functionality.
Conduct post-training evaluations and debriefs to identify learning gaps and revise training materials as necessary.
As a role model and champion you will work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care.

Qualifications
Community College diploma required in a related discipline.
Undergraduate Degree preferred (e.g. in Health Sciences, Business Administration, Health Services Research, Health Administration etc.)
3-5 years of experience in a clinical setting required; experience in a unionized environment preferred
EPIC Certification preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; aptitude for learning new software
Experience with electronic patient records required, experience with EPIC preferred
Ability to take initiative and coordinate across a diverse group of individuals
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Great written and verbal communication skills coupled with flexibility and adaptability
Strong attention to detail
Experience in handling multiple priorities and operating independently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to solve problems independently
Strong organizational skills including planning, goal setting, reporting, and analysis
Project management experience an asset
Exemplifies ability to engage staff in continuous skill improvement
