Job Description What is the opportunity? The RBC Auto Finance team is hiring a Senior Manager, Auto Finance Analytics, Commercial Focus. In this role the candidate will support the ambitious goals of the Commercial Auto Finance department to ensure we are making smart, data-driven decisions with value-add analytics, and strong portfolio reporting across our entire value chain. You will support all aspects of the business across growth strategies and client acquisition, client management, risk management, and operations optimization. You will be joining a collaborative, high-performing Data and Analytics team within Auto Finance. What will you do? In this role you will be the primary analytics partner for the Commercial Auto Finance team. You will leverage data and product analytics to develop, enhance, and support strategies around growth opportunities, pricing and incentives, risk mitigation, portfolio management, retention and client growth. Leverage SQL, SAS, and Tableau, turning large datasets into insight and supporting go-forward decision-making Manage a suite of critical reporting to support strong management of the Auto Finance business Leverage advanced Excel skills to develop business cases and financial models to forecast results and enable optimization Be an active participant in our journey to transform our Data and Analytics infrastructure which includes migrating from SAS to Python, achieving a 50% reduction in our time spent on reporting, and modernizing our toolset. Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information, learning and knowledge with internal and external business partners Able to coach and mentor other team members Willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities, such as supporting the retail AF business What do you need to succeed? Must-have: 5+ years related work experience with Advanced SQL, SAS and Python Proven analytical skills and a track record of uncovering interesting insights in big data Experience in working in an Analytics role supporting Commercial/Business Financial Services is preferred Strong collaboration, leadership, communication and influence skills. Ability to be effective and equally conversant in business and technical environment. Significant financial acumen with strength in finance concepts, business casing new initiatives Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint Nice-to-have: Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative field of study Experience with Data Engineering What’s in it for you?
