Job Description
Duties for this position will include the following, but not limited to:
Lift, assemble and tack joist pieces at the jig
Perform welding operations to join metal parts and components by applying appropriate welding techniques
Read and interpret shop drawings as required
Find the right pieces of metal, position them, line up and secure all pieces according to the design and help set up the jig as required
Keep the work area clean and follow 5S standards
Practice good housekeeping including 5S and time management in the performance of daily duties
Comply with all legislated and company’s health, safety environmental, quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to produce welds which meet company quality standards
Ability to lift parts as needed
Ability to work at a pace established by production standards
Physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 lb
