The Vice President, Business Development is responsible for developing and executing the Investor Communication Solutions’ Canada strategy for client segments (Bank, Broker, Dealer, Issuer, Mutual Funds). They will investigate and advise on M&A, partnership, and organic growth strategies. Key Job Functions/Responsibilities Responsible for business development through developing strategic frameworks to analyze the division's existing business and partnerships, as well as new market opportunities (partner, acquire, build). Primary responsibility for managing the deliverables for the Broadridge Canada’s annual comprehensive strategy process for both ICS Canada and Global Proxy business units. Partner with the ICS Canada, GTO Canada and Global Proxy Product Management teams to ensure that existing product and new solutions support the growth objectives. Lead the creation of all phases of a business case (i.e. market analysis, value proposition, strategic fit, economic models, and launch) to support a new initiative. Responsible for developing the financial and economic models that support the assessment and underlying valuation of potential opportunities. These models will include market sizing, financial forecasts, as well as additional financial analysis as appropriate. Prepare comment letters for various regulatory bodies and analyze the impact of proposed changes to our business units. Coordinate and support activities with the Broadridge Corporate Vice President, Strategy and M&A for the U.S. ICS business in the negotiation of potential acquisitions and partnerships. Partner with the Strategy & Business Development team in the U.S. to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive strategy for the ICS division. As part of the “One Broadridge” approach in Canada, work with GTO, Canada. Other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor's degree demonstrating a high-level of academic achievement. MBA degree is preferred. Experience: 10 years of experience in business development with specific domain expertise in corporate strategy, product management and/or investment banking. Must be familiar with elements of strategy formulation, evaluation, and launch, as well as the acquisition/strategic partnership process including: target identification, assessment, business case development, contract negotiation, and integration. Capital markets industry knowledge is required. Management consulting experience is a definite asset. Must be able to generate new business development ideas and produce extremely high quality work product, as this will be the basis for Broadridge's investment decisions; have a high energy level; work the hours necessary to drive strategy and complete transactions; demonstrate the "will to win," maintaining absolute professional discretion; and possess a high level of integrity and be a solid team player. Capability to build a pipeline, effectively forecast and meet quarterly quota assignments. Ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
