Position Overview
The Marketing Coordinator supports Basecamp Resorts’ marketing efforts by coordinating digital, email, and content initiatives. This role ensures brand consistency, assists in campaign execution, manages digital assets, and provides analytics support to optimize marketing strategies. The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Marketing Manager and collaborates with other marketing team members including design, web, advertising, and production.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 depending on experience
Shifts: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Canmore or Calgary, AB with regular presence in both locations
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Content Coordination
Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns across all Basecamp Resorts properties.
Manage content updates across digital platforms, keeping the website, blog, and social media current and engaging.
Assist in distributing marketing collateral, including email campaigns and printed materials.
Develop blog content including writing, editing and sourcing images.
Support the Marketing Manager and Operations team in refining and optimizing the customer journey.
Organize and manage the company’s media library for efficient content access and use.
Email & Subscriber Management
Design, develop, and distribute email campaigns for hotels, spa, F&B, and business development initiatives.
Maintain and update CRM lists (Klaviyo, Pipedrive) for accurate audience segmentation.
Oversee the bi-monthly transfer of guest emails from PMS to Klaviyo.
Develop and execute automated email flows, including guest journey emails, check-in/check-out messages, and promotional offers (via Canary).
Conduct A/B testing, track email performance, and optimize campaigns based on analytics.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
Monitor, track, and report on email marketing campaign performance using analytics tools.
Maintain and optimize OTA (Online Travel Agency) listings, including Google My Business, Yelp, and tourism site profiles.
Manage Triptease and other direct booking tools to increase direct bookings and minimize reliance on OTAs.
Oversee seasonal website content updates to align with promotions and guest experience enhancements.
Maintain and update digital signage, including hotel digital directories, Elevator Screens (Elev8), and TV screens (Sonifi), ensuring timely and accurate content updates.
Marketing Administration
Organize and manage digital asset libraries to facilitate content access and distribution.
Assist in managing inventory and ordering branded merchandise for retail and promotional purposes.
Implement and maintain automation workflows using Zapier and other integration tools to streamline marketing processes.
Support the operations team with administrative tasks related to marketing campaigns to ensure seamless execution.
Conduct ongoing research to identify marketing process improvements, emerging digital trends, and industry best practices.
Assist in managing the marketing team’s calendar, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.
Edit and proofread content for internal and external communications to maintain quality and consistency.
Position Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of experience in a marketing or sales support role.
Hospitality industry experience is a plus.
Strong writing and copywriting skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
Proficiency in SMS marketing platforms, email marketing tools, and content management systems.
Comfortable with graphic design and creative tools (experience preferred).
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
