About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a temporary full-Time, Manager, Division Portfolio and Reporting to join our dynamic Collections Strategy & Integration team. The Manager, Division Portfolio and Reporting within the Collections division plays a key role in the successful execution of strategic and operational initiatives aimed at collections transformation and enhancing operational effectiveness. The Manager, Division Portfolio and Reporting ensures alignment between project objectives and Canadian Blood Services' transformation goals, delivering high-impact solutions that support the organization’s long-term strategy. The Manager, Division Portfolio and Reporting leads the maturation of divisional reporting, managing processes that coalesce data and insights, ensuring a cohesive and data-informed view of data, initiatives and priorities.
Formula for Success
Develop and analyse models, tools, and business cases to manage the Collections Portfolio, advising on strategies and facilitating decision-making to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
Oversee performance tracking and reporting for a division's portfolio, using metrics and data to provide regular updates to senior leadership and ensure alignment with strategic and operational goals.
Act as a central liaison, collaborating with diverse teams and senior leaders to ensure portfolio initiatives are aligned with organizational strategies, managing stakeholder communication, and overseeing the change management process.
Identify and mitigate project risks and actively manages issues with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Provide project management support for collections initiatives by developing business cases, managing timelines, budgets, and resources, and monitoring project status to ensure successful and timely completion.
Desired Education & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Process Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent and proficiency in project management software and reporting tools is preferred.
3+ years of experience in process design and mapping.
3+ years of experience managing complex projects, ideally in a cross-functional or portfolio management capacity.
Experience in data management, visualization, manipulation and analysis is considered an asset.
Change management certification and/or training is an asset.
Experience in the healthcare or nonprofit sector is an asset.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
