Pay Range: Acera’s total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,000 – $70,000 CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related insurance experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Client Advisor, Personal Insurance to join our team! In this role, you will work collaboratively with clients, insurance companies and with your internal team to provide an exceptional client experience. You will be responsible for advising, explaining, promoting and selling home, auto, and other personal insurance policies to ensure our clients are appropriately insured and protected.
Essential Job Functions:
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing in-person, phone, and email service to clients, including processing renewals, endorsements, cancellations, policy changes, and new policies (ICBC, private auto, and personal insurance; commercial auto/fleet as required)
Recommending and promoting optimal coverage, premiums, payment methods, and additional products
Reviewing policy wordings and associated documents for accuracy, completeness, and correcting errors as needed
Updating and maintaining automated forms for new business, endorsements, renewals, and claims
Reviewing existing client policies and marketing as necessary
Collecting payments in an efficient and timely manner
Providing back-up support to the front desk as needed
Delivering an outstanding client service experience
Qualifications and Soft Skill Requirements:
Level 1 BC General Insurance License is required; Level 2 BC General Insurance License considered an asset
3 or more years of previous Personal Insurance experience
Experience with Broker Management Systems, such as EPIC
Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
Client-centric approach
Strong verbal and written communication
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure
Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients and insurance companies
Courteous and professional manner with clients and co-workers
