Reporting to the System & Process Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Ideally, you possess a combination of technical skills as well as a background in business, management, budgeting and analysis.
Job Summary
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop detailed project plans, track progress and present this documentation to client and team groups
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Develop and maintain systems to promote efficiencies and strive for continuous improvement
Remain current with applicable standards, codes and rules as they relate to the work being done
Purchase hardware and materials for projects in accordance with RidgeTech Policies
Travel both locally and internationally to support clients as required (although not always regular, the potential for travel does exist)
Support clients (some after-hours and weekend support may be required)
Support account managers and sales staff at technical reviews and client presentations
Maintain a constant lookout for potential projects and work for RidgeTech
Participate in sales planning meetings and coordinate resource requirements
Maintain and develop technical and professional knowledge by attending training courses, supplier information sessions, webinars, etc. to remain current on the latest industry practices and technologies
Utilize non-chargeable time in an efficient and productive manner
Focus on team building and strengthening relationships with clients, OEMs, fabricators and contractors
Uphold RidgeTech Automation Company Policies as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
Job Qualifications and Skills
Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Robotics & Automation, or similar education is required (Business degree/diploma and/or PMP certification would be considered an asset)
Minimum 5 years of experience specific to the Controls and Industrial Automation industry (i.e. PLC & HMI programming, electrical/controls design, commissioning & start-up)
Previous experience in an industrial environment within a Project Coordinator capacity
Positive attitude and ability to communicate well with both clients and team members
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project
Ability to manage multiple priorities within changing timelines
Strong troubleshooting skills
Sound mechanical and electrical aptitudes
Ability to work with a multitude of third parties and vendors
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment while coordinating effectively with other groups
Ability to coach team members including sharing feedback and direction on their development and training
Additional Requirements
Hold and maintain a valid Class G drivers license and have a reliable and dependable personal vehicle
Hold and maintain a valid Passport with an ability to travel freely abroad without restrictions
Maintain and apply current Health & Safety training as required for each worksite

Working Conditions
This is a full-time position at 40-44 hours per week; any additional hours will be based on client requirements, which will be compensated according to company policy (i.e. overtime, double time, shift premium)
Work hours will depend on assigned work, with clients who may require specific onsite hours
Office hours are typically 8:00am – 4:30pm
Flex hours or remote work may be permitted depending on work and team requirements
Onsite client support after hours or during weekends may be required
Team Members must be able to work from the office in Cambridge, Ontario
This position requires local and international travel, depending on project requirements:
RTA focuses on a local workload (1-2 hour radius/100km radius of the Cambridge office)
Travel outside of this area may arise for additional projects, training, or to support local opportunities
