The Role
We are seeking a motivated Shop Fabrication Pipefitter to join our fabrication team. This is a full-time, shop-based role with a schedule of Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm. Future project requirements may include overtime, weekend shifts, or short-term field work.
Compensation/Benefits
3rd and 4th year rates are 80% and 90% respectively of Journeyperson wage which is $44.00 per hour.
Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours per day.
6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.

Responsibilities/Duties
Maintain equipment.
Read blueprints and specifications.
Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving of pipes, valves and fittings
Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems
Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required
Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications
Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition
Ensure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely.
Complete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards, procedures and practices.
May perform other related duties assigned
Maintain shop cleanliness.

Experience/Education/Qualifications
Registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Pipefitter
Registered Journeyman Pipefitter
Previous experience in a shop or industrial fabrication environment
CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (contains WHMIS 2015)
May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sites
May need to have certain safety tickets and complete site specific orientations for certain sites
Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work
