COMPENSATION INFORMATION $19.33 - $28.99 JOB DESCRIPTION Purpose The General Warehouse Worker plays a key role in ensuring the accurate, safe, and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This position supports daily operations through order picking, shipping and receiving, inventory handling, and equipment operation. By maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity, the Warehouse Worker helps the company meet customer expectations and operational goals. Possession of a stand-up electric counterbalance forklift certification is considered a valuable asset and enhances the candidate’s ability to contribute to the success of the team. Responsibilities Responsible for performing warehouse duties including receiving, shipping, inventory handling, and order fulfillment. Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting hazards immediately. Achieve daily and weekly performance targets such as pick/pack accuracy, productivity, and on-time order completion. Assist in planning and scheduling of daily workflow to ensure efficient customer order processing and timely delivery. Support production and warehouse operations by monitoring product quality and ensuring items meet company standards. Safely operate pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment; operate a stand-up electric counterbalance forklift. Track, monitor, and reduce product damage and shrinkage through proper handling and storage. Participate in regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels. Load and unload trucks efficiently while securing loads to prevent product loss or damage. Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and good housekeeping practices. Work with supervisors and team leads to ensure consistent workflow and effective communication across shifts. Support a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork, respect, and adaptability to changes in workload. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards, company EHS programs, and warehouse safety protocols. Assist with contingency systems to reduce disruptions in operations (e.g., equipment breakdowns or delays). Support with cycle counts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1–2 years of warehouse, distribution, or general labor experience preferred. Valid stand-up electric counterbalance forklift certification (asset). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and reaching throughout the shift. Basic computer and scanner skills for inventory and order processing. Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of OHS standards and safe lifting practices. Sound knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act Skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Problem-solving skills for handling product or equipment issues. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training/certification in forklift operation is considered a strong asset.
