In this role, you will perform software design, analysis, implementation and test development on products and systems that support all or many engineering programs. Specific focus will be supporting the integration of various AI technologies and integrated applications.Responsibilities Include:Performing software design and/or analysis functionsDocumenting the analysis, design and test in accordance with development standardsImplementing software to meet requirementsDeveloping and performing tests and debugging of codeIdentifying defects, resolving issues and verifying changesSupporting and performing system level test and integration effortsParticipating in code reviewsParticipating in agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, and RetrospectivesVerifying completed tasks meet Definitions of Done and Acceptance CriteriaWriting software requirements based on system level requirements and design documentsExpanding knowledge of latest technologies, products and industry trends QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent2+ years of related experienceExperience working on software development projects using a variety of programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, or PythonExperience with software engineering and DevOps processes and toolsKnowledge of design patterns and software engineering principlesFamiliarity with any of the following development tools is desirable: Microsoft Visual Studio, Code Collaborator, Rational Team Concert (RTC), Doors, PDMLink, Sharepoint, Jira and the Atlassian suite, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem solving and root cause analysis skillsEnthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn and take on challengesIdeally you will also have some experience in the following:Deployment and integration of Large Language ModelsExperience creating AI agentsExperience with containers and orchestration technologiesFamiliarity with virtualized and cloud environmentsExperience with Linux as well as Windows environmentsPower BI, SQL, data analytics and reporting experienceExperience working in aviation, defence or other highly regulated industryIt is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed.
