The Kitimat Community Development Centre is looking for Early Childhood Educators/Infant and Toddler Educators who are enthusiastic and passionate about the field of early childhood education to join our team. The position is permanent and can be either full-time, part-time, or casual.
Must have your Early Childhood Educator Diploma, Certificate, or Assistant.
Wage: 21.26 to 30.41

Qualifications:
A valid Early Childhood Educator/Infant and Toddler Educator Certificate
A valid First Aid Certificate
Additional Requirements:
Criminal Record Check clearance letter
Immunization Schule or waiver
3 current and satisfactory references
Flexibility to work various hours as assigned during the operating hours of the daycare
Responsibilities:
Hold a valid certificate to practice and complete continuing education hours required to maintain certificate.
Maintain ethical standards of ECEBC and the Kitimat CDC.
Understand the Childcare Facility Licensing regulations and ensure the programs always operate in compliance with these standards.
Provide mentorship and supports the work of the ECE Assistants.
Create and implement planned activities developmentally appropriate child led activities.
Be able to follow the classroom’s schedule and transitions throughout the day.
Responsible for the constant supervision, safety, and wellbeing of the children while on shift.
Use developmentally appropriate teaching and child behavior management techniques.
Communicate with families regarding any changes, progress, concerns and, or incidents regarding their child.
Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with co-workers and building a positive working relationship.
Work cooperatively with team and community resources to support inclusive practice and address the needs of individual children.
