Position Summary:
We are seeking a warm, professional, and adaptable Concierge to be the welcoming face of our independent seniors living community. This casual part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a dynamic environment, and takes pride in creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet residents, families, and visitors with warmth and professionalism
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Monitor building access and ensure a secure environment
Assist residents with requests such as booking transportation, coordinating deliveries, or providing general information
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area
Receive and distribute mail and packages
Support emergency response procedures and communicate effectively with staff during incidents
Be adaptable to the changing needs of the community and team, assisting with various tasks as required
Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, and scheduling
Foster a respectful and inclusive environment for all residents and guests
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or administrative roles preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced or emergency situation
Basic computer skills (email, scheduling software, etc.)
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Empathy and patience when working with seniors
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Working Conditions:
Casual part-time hours, scheduled based on operational needs
Primarily front desk-based with occasional walking or light lifting
