About the Team
The backend team is at the core of our engineering group. We handle many concerns across the organization including building new features in the product, building APIs to support our mobile applications and our form builder application, site reliability engineering and aiding our support team to help our customers.
We are a flexible group that loves to try new ideas, learn from failures, and celebrate successes together. We are very excited to add another Software Engineer to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
Build new roadmap features in the core TrueContext product (Java, Spring, JavaScript, MySQL, AWS), with opportunities to contribute across the full stack
Actively participate in an agile team that deploys to production daily
Engage in development practices: code reviews, pair programming, writing automated tests, retrospectives on CI/CD and SRE trends
Improve site reliability, security, and performance
Leverage modern development tools and practices (New Relic, SumoLogic, Snyk, Docker, Junie, to name a few)
Constantly learn new things and deliver impactful changes to our product on a regular basis
Be part of a team that cares deeply about the work we do and the people we work with
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong Java skills, knowledge of relational databases, and web application development
Experience with the following or similar: Spring framework, JavaScript, MySQL
Experience with any cloud platform; we use AWS
A knack for solving tough problems with strong technical instincts and decision-making
A desire to continuously learn and improve
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Bonus points if you have React or Frontend experience as well
