Object Tester
Summary:
Reporting to Engineering, the object tester helps us improve and train our AI-based threat detection systems by replicating real-life scenarios in our lab. To train our systems effectively, we need to do thousands of walkthroughs using a variety of people and objects. These objects include benign items such as laptops, phones, and keys, as well as imitation weapons such as guns and knives.
Responsibilities:
Perform repeated walkthroughs while carrying a range of test items, primarily through a series of pillars around 20’/6m in height. The tester must maintain a consistent walking speed throughout.
Accurately operate from a checklist, making sure every walkthrough is consistent with its requirements.
Maintain and organize the objects used for testing.
Contribute feedback to improve testing procedures.
Requirements:
Able to walk continuously and consistently for long periods of time while carrying objects that weigh up to 8lbs/3.5kg. We provide breaks and there are chairs to rest, but this role requires a lot of walking.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
