Data Analyst
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.
With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social and governance best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time contract Data Analyst to support our Data Governance and Management (DGM) team.
Position Overview
The incumbent’s role will be responsible for integrity, quality and accuracy of master data ensuring completion in a timely manner across multiple ERP platforms, and a key player in helping prevent fraudulent events for MMC Member Hospitals. The successful candidate will possess combination of skills including data analytics, communication and collaboration, problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Listen to and document business requirements, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
Data cleansing and validation of goods & services through the extensive use of online resources, global data pools, and supplier networks
Maintain master and transactional data into multiple ERP systems based on standardized forms and templates
Maintain data loading tools and scripts to align with maturing standard operating procedures
Ability to present findings & obtain requirements from technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
Issue resolution (incident management) and corrective action planning for daily end user transactional errors related to master data
Execute and perform daily ticketed requests through ticketing systems
Generate key performance indicators (KPI), standard reports, and dashboards leveraging data from multiple ERP systems to provide to Data Analytics to cross functional teams and the Senior Management team
Focus on process enhancements and suggest innovations & improvements, willingness and dedication towards continuous learning and improvement
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
Validate vendor payment information through calls and/or emails and liaise with Member Hospitals to ensure the vendor data requests are complete per the predetermined service level
Problem solve and develop practical solutions to issues related to vendor due diligence
Create, maintain and deactivate vendor records in SAP
Maintain documentation for audit purposes and participate in internal/external audits
Ensure that the published data standards and rules are up to date with current data policies and made available to all data stewards; support the development of the data standards and rules
Facilitate internal training and act as a subject matter expert in vendor due diligence; support the development of training manuals
Collect and analyze data. Present the outcomes effectively both orally and in writing
Coordinate meetings and record meeting minutes, agendas, work plans and deliverables including tracking action items and ensuring follow-up, and facilitating discussions as required

Exceptional communication skills including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical resources
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret data accurately, complemented by excellent visual accuracy skills and attention to detail
Self-starter, highly motivated, works well without constant supervision
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
Ability to work effectively in both a team setting and independently with minimal supervision
A strong sense of accountability for assigned due diligence initiatives
Education, Training, and Experience
University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Health Informatics, Mathematics, or equivalent field
Proficient in MS office including Word, PowerPoint, advanced skills in Excel, the ability to write or maintain Excel Macros would be an asset
Experience maintaining master data or creating transactional data in an ERP system, specific S4HANA experience preferred
The ability to transact vendor master data in SAP or Ariba would be an asset
Experience working in healthcare would be an asset
Travel
Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
