Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst, Clinics Operations to support the financial planning and operational performance of WELL’s national network of medical clinics. Reporting to the VP, Clinic Operations, this role plays a critical part in driving data-informed decision-making and financial accountability across our primary care and specialty clinics.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of operations and strategy, someone who can turn financial data into practical insights that directly impact clinical performance, efficiency, and patient care delivery.
What you will be doing:
- Support the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts across the clinic network.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and identify key performance drivers across locations and regions.
- Build and refine models to forecast clinic performance, and profitability.
- Partner with clinic managers and operations leaders to ensure accurate and realistic financial planning.
- Analyze clinic-level and consolidated financials, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis to support initiatives like clinic expansions or new service offerings.
- Provide financial insights to inform operational decision-making and long-term strategic planning.
- Prepare regular dashboards and financial reports for clinic leadership and senior management.
- Track and report on KPIs including revenue per visit, provider utilization, and cost per patient.
- Provide clear, data-driven recommendations in business reviews and performance meetings.
- Act as a financial partner to clinic and regional managers, translating financial results into actionable plans.
- Support operational teams in managing budgets, understanding variances, and driving accountability.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives including clinic optimization, service line expansion, and cost-saving programs.
- Support standardization and automation of financial reporting and planning processes.
Other Duties:
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the healthcare sector.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is an asset.
- 4–7 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or operational finance, ideally within a healthcare or multi-site environment.
- Ability to synthesize data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights using AI
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex financials to non-financial stakeholders.
- Team-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Familiarity with healthcare operations, reimbursement models, and revenue cycle processes, public company experiences a strong asset.
