Eliot is seeking a Residential Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Developmental Disabilities (DD) division. Our residential programs offer a person-centered service that provides innovative and high quality programming to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program offers support and opportunities for individuals to enrich their lives, develop social and daily living skills, and build social and community connections. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, prior residential experience and ability to time manage appointments across different locations.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct medical care as ordered by a physician
Educate and consult with individuals and staff on medical conditions, medications, and general health topics
Deliver individualized training and facilitate health and wellness groups
Assist individuals in accessing and utilizing community health resources
Guide individuals in understanding their medical conditions including symptoms, complications, and treatment options
Review medical documentation and provide care coordination and consultation as needed
Coordinate and follow up on medical care and attend appointments as assigned
Provide side-by-side interventions focusing on health education and skills training
Support the team in assessing symptoms and treatment effectiveness and recommend appropriate actions
Build relationships with community medical providers and VNA services to enhance care coordination and act as a liaison between individuals, providers, and the treatment team
Qualifications:
Associates degree in Nursing or equivalent
Experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities injuries
Valid Massachusetts drivers license
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
MAP certification preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
Coverage area includes Burlington, Haverhill, Framingham
Annual Salary
$85,000—$85,000 USD
