The Role
As a Talent Acquisition (TA) Coordinator at BGC Engineering, you’ll support organizational growth and help advance efforts to build a diverse, skilled workforce. Working cross-functionally within the Recruiting and HR teams, you’ll ensure seamless candidate experience and smooth recruitment operations. You’ll coordinate interviews across global time zones, lead early talent programs worldwide, and continuously refine your own responsibilities for efficiency. Your attention to detail and proactive communication will help us attract and retain top talent. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, quality-driven environment and values efficient processes and positive interactions. This position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with senior leadership across the organization.
This role is based in BGC's Calgary office.
Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize a high volume of operational tasks while demonstrating professionalism, attention to detail, good judgment, and a sense of urgency
Build strong relationships within the recruiting team, with senior stakeholders across the company, and with candidates to encourage long-term relationships and reinforce company reputation
Work effectively within our applicant tracking system, scheduling tools, and organizational products: Bamboo, Cronofy, LinkedIn Recruiter, MS O365, etc.
Provide support for end-to-end recruitment processes across a variety of roles and job levels, including complex interview coordination, feedback management, and coordination of internal decision-making processes
Opportunity to grow into the primary point of contact for candidates, providing personalized support throughout the hiring process to build lasting relationships
Own end-to-end recruitment for early-talent programs
Post and manage job openings across a variety of platforms
Screen resumes for basic qualifications
Attend local career fairs, acting as a brand ambassador to the company
Continually seek to find uniquely suited solutions to evolving business problems
10% HR administrative support as needed
Produce routine reports for operational enablement, as directed
Required Education, Experience & Competencies
Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in any field; human resources, business, or technical programs are preferred
2+ years of experience in a customer- or client-facing industry
Proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong drive to align work with business objectives
Brings a positive attitude and a desire to mutually support teammates and contribute to shared goals
Previous experience coordinating complex interview schedules across time zones for both virtual and in-person formats
Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, positively contributing to the success and internal reputation of the Recruiting Team
High attention-to-detail, prioritizing work quality over task completion
Ability to intuitively learn software systems and independently seek knowledge
Previous experience working with an ATS or CRM (BambooHR preferred)
Preferred Education, Experience & Competencies
Prior experience building relationships with

Prior experience in recruitment agency environments
