Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary yet hands-on IT leader to reimagine and lead Banyan’s
Corporate IT function. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and
execution, ensuring that our IT environment is both future-ready and reliable
day-to-day. The Head of Corporate IT will drive our digital workplace strategy,
creating a seamless, integrated, and secure end-user experience that enables
productivity across our globally distributed workforce.
The ideal candidate combines strategic foresight with operational rigor,
partnering closely with executive leadership and stakeholders to modernize IT
systems while championing a culture of service excellence, simplicity, and
innovation. This leader will develop and execute an IT transformation strategy
that modernizes our core systems, improves the employee technology experience,
strengthens IT governance, and ensures we are resourced appropriately to meet
evolving demands. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in IT
operations and infrastructure, coupled with a strategic understanding of
enterprise architecture and how IT can support scalable, secure, and
cost-effective business processes. The candidate brings strong cross-functional
partnership and communication abilities that enable aligned and successful
execution of IT strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a digital workplace strategy that prioritizes the
employee experience while enabling scalability, security, and
cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and execute a multi-year IT transformation strategy that aligns with
Banyan’s growth, operational model, and distributed structure.
- Ensure the IT organization is resourced, structured, and empowered to deliver
reliable, secure, and scalable support to employees across geographies.
- Provide leadership across IT functions including user support, endpoint
management, identity and access management, SaaS administration, and
collaboration tooling.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating business
needs into IT priorities.
End-User Experience & Operational Excellence
- Build a world-class end-user IT experience through proactive support,
streamlined processes, and seamless collaboration tools.
- Establish robust IT processes for onboarding/offboarding, SaaS provisioning,
device lifecycle, and incident response.
- Leverage automation and self-service solutions to reduce friction, improve
visibility, and empower employees.
- Continuously measure and improve employee satisfaction with IT services.
Digital Transformation & Change Leadership
- Act as a change agent, thoughtfully rolling out IT initiatives supported by
clear communication and change management.
- Drive adoption of modern workplace technologies, ensuring employees are
equipped with intuitive, integrated, and secure tools.
- Balance innovation and reliability—introducing forward-looking solutions
while maintaining a dependable IT foundation.
Architecture and Governance
- Set the vision for Banyan’s IT architecture in partnership with security and
business stakeholders, ensuring it is modular, scalable, and aligned with
cloud-first, zero-trust principles.
- Champion identity-first security and governance across SaaS applications,
devices, and data access policies.
- Work closely with the shared security function to ensure compliance with
internal policies and external regulations, and to enable rapid incident
detection and response.
- Define and enforce IT standards and policies that support efficient
operations and strong governance without introducing unnecessary friction.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in fast-paced, distributed,
and scaling organizations.
- Demonstrated success delivering a high-quality end-user experience and
transforming IT into a strategic enabler.
- Strategic understanding of enterprise architecture, SaaS-first
infrastructure, and modern digital workplace solutions.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, identity & access
management, device lifecycle management, and ITSM platforms.
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally, build credibility, and lead
through influence Nice-to-Have
- Experience in organizations with a M&A or portfolio-based model.
- Familiarity with compliance and certification frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO
27001.
- Understanding of how to balance global standards with local support in
distributed organizations.

The expected base salary for this position is: CAD $200,000 - $250,000 and
includes annual bonus and equity (when applicable). Salary is based on a number
of factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on
job-related skills and experience.
